Two people are dead and others are missing after a fire and explosion tore into a nursing home on the outskirts of Philadelphia, spurring local responders, bystanders and staff to rush the elderly population to safety,

First responders descended on a nursing home in eastern Pennsylvania following a mid-afternoon explosion.

The gas explosion resulted in a “major fire,” a partial collapse of the building and “multiple casualties,” Steve Santarsiero, a state senator whose district includes Bristol, said on social media.
